This is a short video tutorial on how to lay out UVs on polygon objects. UVs are inherent on all polygon objects...before you "lay" them out they are basically a jumbled mess. By mapping them with projections ans sewing them together we can get a clean and even set of UVs for a polygon object.

Rendering in passes in Maya

I don't cover the actual render layers in detail or the different types of passes you can do. It's a very basic introduction to get a person compositing together the passes in Shake or After Effects.
