We caught a demo of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1's panels interface at work, and it's really cool. It is worth noting that this software is very, very early, and that it will run more smoothly when the device is ready to be released.

about 3 minutes experience with Sony Ericssons Xperia X1, commented by a staff member. Nothing of what is shown here is final or meant to be working like this in the final version - the X1 is only previewed in Barcelona! The device shall be released in the second half of 2008 and runs Microsoft Windows Mobile with a panel-flow-style thingy that reminds us of Apple's coverflow technique.
